Position Title: Talent Acquisition & Development Intern
Reports to:Regional People & Culture Manager
Location: WWF NA Office – Tunis
Date: May 2025

Duration: 1 year Internship

 

Context

WWF is one of the world’s largest biodiversity conservation organizations, dedicated to halting environmental degradation and building a future where people live in harmony with nature.

WWF has been operating in Tunisia since 1994 and currently has established offices in Tunisia (WWF North Africa, WWF NA). The organization implements its conservation program across the North Africa region, working to protect natural ecosystems and wildlife, promote sustainable living, support policymakers, engage citizens in reducing their ecological footprint, and contribute to environmental education for youth.

Major Functions

The Talent Acquisition & Development Intern will play a key support role within the People & Culture team, contributing to recruitment efforts, capacity building, and staff engagement initiatives. The intern will be actively involved in leadership development programs, training activities, HR documentation, staff well-being initiatives, and the coordination of annual retreats and team-building events.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes: posting job ads, screening applications, scheduling interviews.
  • Assist in drafting and updating job descriptions.
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts, including university partnerships and events.
  • Support in crafting seamless onboarding processes to new joiners

 

2. Training & Capacity Building

  • Support the logistics and coordination of internal and external training sessions.
  • Assist in mainstreaming training materials and courses.
  • Help track individual development plans and ongoing learning opportunities based on staff performance development journeys

 

  1. Staff Engagement & Well-being
  • Contribute to the implementation of staff well-being activities (surveys, wellness sessions, in-house events).
  • Support the planning and facilitation of the annual staff retreat and team-building initiatives.
  • Assist in the rollout of leadership development and talent recognition programs.

  1. HR Administration & Documentation
  • Help maintain accurate and organized personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Contribute to the digital archiving of HR records (contracts, job descriptions, training reports, etc.).
  • Support the drafting of internal HR reports and briefing notes.

 

Working Relationships

  • Works closely with all teams of WWF NA (Conservation, Finance, Communication and Operations teams).
  • Externally, the intern might be in contact with external service providers. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree (Master’s degree is a plus) in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Administration , Management or related fields.
  • Preferred Minimum of 3 months of experience through internships, volunteer work, or professional roles within civil society or a related field.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills in arabic , french and english
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • A passion for people centered approaches.
  • Eligible for SIVP Contracts
