Background

TADAEEM project is implementing USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities. This 4-year governance project aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. The project, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The project team will work in 11 provinces, 31 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country.

Objectives

The Project Coordinator shall work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) on the follow-up and management of the various trackes of technical work being carried out by the Tunis and Regional Teams.

Specific Tasks and Deliverables

• Coordinate the activities of the COP and Senior management team;
• Assit the COP in facilitating effective decision-making;
• Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives;
• Participate in regular meetings with the COP to discuss technical, administrative and staffing issues;
• Assess inquiries directed to the COP, detemine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage;
• Ensure all staff are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolve;
• Coordinate donor and counterpart meetings;
• Maintain records of meetings and follow through as needed; and
• Maintain the calendar of activities of the COP.

Reporting Requirements

The Project Coordinator will report to the Chief of Party.
