Background

TADAEEM project is implementing USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities. This 4-year governance project aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. The project, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The project team will work in 12 provinces, 33 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country.

Objectives

The IT Officer is to be based in Tunis and provide helpdesk support to all TADAEEM staff in the Tunis and regional office with IT related troubleshooting and solutions. The IT officer will help people in the organizationto get a better result with technology, especially using Office 365 technology. The candidates are expected to know adult learning techniques, learning design concepts for computer-based training.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Support staff in the effective use of all TADAEEM Project software including installation, configuration and troubleshooting;
• Configure and maintain all office IT equipment including but not limited to laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, server, and wireless connections;
• User Administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, VPN, IT Security Monitoring);
• Provide IT support to project related workshops and events;
• Provide on site and offsite technical support through (phone, text messaging, and emails) to TADAEEM staff;
• Train and support on Office 365 and related technologies, including but not limited to; Planner, OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business, and teams, etc..
• Consult with computer users to identify technology challenges, understand workflow and make recommendations on best use of technology to meet needs.
• As part of the preparation process to deliver learning programs, participate in testing and validating new firm-standard applications upgrades.
• Ability to build and administer training programs.
• Work with different departments and impart dedicated training  based on the end user needs
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor or project leadership.

Reporting Requirements

IT Officerwill report directly to the IT Manager.
