JOB TITLE: Sustainable Development Grants & Proposal Associate 

DEPT: Program Development & Fundraising | REPORTS TO: Grants & Partnerships Manager LOCATION: Tunis Office | TYPE: Full-Time | EXP: 1–3 Years 

ABOUT SUNUP 

Mission-driven organization advancing transparent, SDG-aligned sustainable development solutions with  communities, governments, and global donors. 

ROLE OVERVIEW 

Secure funding and amplify impact by leading proposal development, donor engagement, and strategic  communications. You’ll craft compelling narratives, manage grant pipelines, and translate technical  sustainability work into persuasive messaging for diverse audiences. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

�� Grants & Proposals 

  • Identify, screen, and track funding opportunities (donors, CSR, impact investors). • Draft and edit concept notes, EoIs, and full proposals aligned with SDGs/ESG standards. • Collaborate with program, M&E & finance teams on narratives, budgets, and logical frameworks. 

�� Communications & Donor Engagement 

  • Develop pitch decks, donor briefs, impact stories, and presentation materials. 
  • Support donor meetings, partnership outreach, and stakeholder communications. • Translate technical data into clear, audience-tailored content for internal/external use. 

�� Operations & Learning 

  • Manage grant calendars, deadlines, and compliance documentation. 
  • Assist with donor reporting and archive best practices for institutional learning. 
  • Research emerging funding trends (blended finance, green bonds, climate finance). 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s in Sustainable Development, Communications, International Development, or related field. 
  • 1–3 years in grant writing, fundraising, or strategic communications (NGO/impact sector preferred).
  • Proven success in 2+ funding applications; strong writing, research, and storytelling skills. 
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM/database tools, and collaborative platforms (Asana, Notion, Google  Workspace). 
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and skilled at cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Preferred: M&E experience, grant software (Salesforce NPSP, Fluxx), or climate finance knowledge.
