Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) for scholars 2016 Retour vers les opportunités

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the 2016 Study of the United States Institutes for scholars. These Institutes are intensive six-week academic seminars at American universities throughout the United States that provide university faculty with a deeper knowledge of American history, culture, and institutions. It will also allow strengthening curricula and enhancing the quality of teaching about the United States in academic institutions abroad.

This year, the Embassy is offering the following Institutes:

• Contemporary American Literature
• Journalism and Media
• Religious Pluralism in the United States
• U.S. Culture and Society
• U.S. Foreign Policy
• U.S. Political Thought

Eligibility Requirement

• Be mid-career professional scholar (university,  faculty or secondary educators) with little or no experience in the U.S.

• Have substantial knowledge of the thematic area of the Institute
• Have excellent level of English language proficiency
