We are seeking an experienced Senior Workforce Development Advisor for USAID’s Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment (TRACE) program, focused on promoting social cohesion, reducing communities’ risk of instability and increasing resilience to violent extremism. The program aims to strengthen the voices of underrepresented groups and actively engage community members as participants and leaders in the full cycle of design, management, and evaluation of development activities.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead activities targeting the development of the youth workforce of Tunisia;
- Oversee activities that create links between Tunisia’s youth and private sector partners;
- Create and promote activities that increase Corporate Social Responsibility practices in Tunisia;
- Assist local government officials, businesses and CSOs in identifying opportunities to engage and support marginalized youth including activities such as youth-led initiatives, competitive grants for youth led activities, job matching and support for micro-enterprise to provide livelihoods, as well as sports, arts and community service activities;
- Facilitate the development of mechanisms for coordination, collaboration, consensus and trust building among key local actors including the government, private businesses, civil society organizations, women, media, citizens, youth, and other stakeholders;
- Provide technical advice and training to community stakeholders to develop strategic locally-led approaches to build consensus around and address vulnerabilities;
- Advise the Chief of Party and other project staff on various technical fields related to the program and help design the strategy and approaches to achieve expected results;
- Other duties as assigned.
