Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is an international non-profit organization that promotes peaceful resolution of conflict. With headquarters in Washington, DC and a European office in Brussels, Belgium, SFCG’s mission is to transform how individuals, organizations, and governments deal with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and toward cooperative solutions. SFCG seeks to help conflicting parties understand their differences and act on their commonalities. With a total of approximately 500 staff worldwide, SFCG implements projects in 33 countries, including in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Search for Common Ground seeks a professional, motivated, and creative intern to join the MENA Regional team. Based in Tunis, Tunisia, the intern will provide programmatic support to SFCG’s Tunisia, Morocco, and Jordan country offices, and assist with regional project implementation. Duties of this internship will contribute to the development of programs for sustainable peace and conflict transformation in the MENA region, and will give interns an opportunity to practice high-level, professional skills. There is a $300 per month stipend.
Interns must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) and must commit for 6 months. We are looking for an intern to begin as soon as possible (August 2016).

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.
This position provides a $300 per month stipend.
