The DRC North Africa regional office is seeking a highly qualified Program Advisor with demonstrated experience designing and evaluating humanitarian and development programming that assists people on the move. The advisor will draw from their knowledge of migration trends within and from the African continent, as well as relevant legal frameworks and policies affecting people on the move, to support the organization in further designing multi-country programming between West, East and North Africa with a routes-based approach that is responsive and flexible. The role will support DRC’s efforts to respond to the needs of people involved in mixed migration from their country of origin, throughout their journey, and at their destination.
About the job
The Program Advisor will be tasked to identify impactful and innovative approaches to migration-related programming that acknowledges and seeks to address the spectrum of issues faced by migrants, while strengthening and harmonizing migration programming and strategy across countries and regions. Fundamental to the responsibilities of the advisor is to support DRC in ensuring the rigorous application of rights-based approaches to all migration-related programming. About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a minimum 5 years’ experience in the humanitarian sector with a specialization in migration and protection programming. Moreover, we also expect the following:
