Acting as a catalyst for social entrepreneurship and innovation within the ecosystem, ElSpace is committed to empowering inclusive entrepreneurs and innovators by hosting, training, and offering networking opportunities as well as designing integrated and impactful programs. 

The Project: 

Ma3an: 

“Ma3an” is a five-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development USAID (September 2018 – August 2023), the program generally aims to encourage youth participation in public life, enabling young people to identify the most important problems and challenges that could lead to extremism of all kinds. 

The most important objectives of the project revolve around providing young people with the necessary skills and knowledge for active involvement in civic life and positive interaction with their local communities, through approaches based on the Positive Youth Development “PYD”. The project also implements programs with a number of Partners at the local and national levels to enhance their capacity to prevent and counter violent extremism. 

Context: 

As part of Ma3an project, EL SPACE is looking to hire a Public Speaking trainer to ensure capacity-building training. 

The training will help to improve the performance of the participating youth mappers learn how to: 

– Manage their nerves when delivering a speech or lecture 

– Speak with confidence to reinforce their message 

– Build rapport with audience and engage with them 

Objectives: 

By the end of the workshop, it is expected that participants will be able to:

1. Be able to present in front of stakeholders from their community such as public and private sectors, government structures and civil society. 2. Learn to speak confidently in a variety of situations 

3. Become a better listener and learn what makes a speech work
4. 4. Learn to speak clearly with vocal variety 
5. Learn to stand straight and make eye contact 

Public Skills Trainer Profile: 

• High communications skills, verbal , written and networking skills
•  Demonstrated experience in Soft Skills training 
• Previous experience with youth from marginalized areas 
• Demonstrated skills and experience in report writing 
• Ability to deliver the training in Arabic using Tunisian dialect

Deliverables: 

– A conceptual methodological note of the training containing the teaching tools to be used 

– Training material in the form of a ppt presentation 

– A detailed report about the workshop (The report can be in English or French).
