National Public Health Consultant – Support the Implementation of the Pandemic Fund- One Health Activities in Tunisia

Position Details

Title: Public Health Consultant

Location: Tunisia

Start Date: 1st December

Duration: Initial 12-month contract, renewable based on performance and project needs

Compensation: 5,000-7,000 TND per month, depending on qualifications and experience

The Public Health Consultant will work closely with the Ministry of Health, World Bank teams, and other stakeholders to support the implementation of the Pandemic Fund activities.

Responsibilities include:

Provide technical guidance on public health strategies and interventions.

Ensure alignment of activities with national and international health standards – Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of project components.- Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of pandemic preparedness and response activities.- Support the development of national protocols for disease surveillance, case management, and infection control.

Monitor progress against defined indicators and ensure timely delivery of outputs.

Develop progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Provide data-driven insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.

Liaise with government counterparts, donors, and partners to ensure a collaborative approach.

Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public health, preferably in pandemic preparedness, health systems strengthening, or project management.
