Background 

Belady – an Island for Humanity, is a human rights organization that advocates for civil and political rights and aims at promoting transparency and accountability and curbing violations. Belady is hiring a psychologist to accompany and provide psychological support to former prisoners.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Develop a psychoeducation program for ex-detainees (online).
2. Respond to messages and questions and develop our psycho-care page. 
3. Treat current, ex-detainees, and their families (online).
4. Maintain weekly and monthly reports. 
5. Participate in the development of the psychology database.

*note: Although the majority of substantive work is online, employees are expected to report to the office on a daily basis. 

Required Qualifications 

Advanced degree in Psychology or related academic fields. 

Fluent in Arabic; Egyptian dialect is an asset. English is preferable. 

Previous humanitarian field experience is an added value.

Computer Literacy and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
