Position Title: Psychologist

Form of employment: Full-Time Contract

Duration: 10 Months with the possibility of renewal

Background 

Belady – an Island for Humanity, is a human rights organization that advocates for civil and political rights and aims at promoting transparency and accountability and curbing violations  in Egypt. Belady is hiring a psychologist to accompany and provide psychological support to former prisoners.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Develop a psychoeducation program for ex-detainees (online).
2. Respond to messages and questions and develop our psycho-care page. 
3. Treat current, ex-detainees, and their families (online).
4. Maintain weekly and monthly reports. 
5. Participate in the development of the psychology database.

Note: This is a fully remote position. All communication and coordination will be conducted through the organization’s official communication channels, and no physical presence at the office is required.

Required Qualifications 

• Advanced degree in Psychology or related academic fields. 
• Fluent in Arabic; Egyptian dialect is an asset. English is preferable. 
• Previous humanitarian field experience is an added value.
• Computer Literacy and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Teamwork and Cooperation.
