Background

TADAEEM project is implementing USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities. This 4-year governance project aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. The project, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The project team will work in 11 provinces, 31 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country.

Objectives

The IT support technician is to be based in Tunis and provide helpdesk support to all TADAEEM staff in the Tunis and regional office with IT related troubleshooting and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Backup anddata restoration on desktop/laptop systems;
• Provide on site and offsite technical support through (phone, text messaging, and emails) to TADAEEM staff;
• Manage the daily routine operations and maintenance of IT software system applications;
• Regularly communicate with TADEEM staff (end users) and understand issues related to applications;
• Basic troubleshooting ofnecessaryIT networking;
• User Administration (Active Directory, VPN);
• Install and manage Printers and network print controllers;
• Provide IT support to project related workshops and events;
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor or project leadership.

Reporting Requirements

IT Support Technician will report to theIT Manager, and Chief of Party, as needed.
