The Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization, and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is focused on improving service delivery for citizens in El Kef, Dahmani, Tajerouine, Sers, Siliana, Makthar, Kairouan, Bouhajla, El Alaa, Oueslatia, Haffouz, Echbika, Mahdia, Ksour Essef, El Jem, Sidi Alouane, Gabes, Mareth, Ghannouche, Metouia, Sfax, Sakiet Ezzit, Agareb, Tataouine, Ghomrassen, Tozeur, Kebili, Gafsa, Zaghouan, El Fahs and Nadhour.
TADAEEM will focus service delivery improvement support on the following beneficiaries:
1. Civil Society Organizations
2. Municipalities
3. Non-Municipal Actors
The support will involve many forms of technical assistance including systems improvements, direct training, coaching and grants.
The objective of this Grants Orientation is, for the TADAEEM project staff, to introduce the project and the Grants program for CSOs in Mahdia, Ksour Essef, El Jem and Sidi Alouane. CSOs engaging citizens and civil society in oversight of government functions will be eligible for applying for grants.
The Grants Orientation will provide the following:
1. Overview of the project and its objectives
2. Present the planned engagement with CSOs
3. Provide overall orientation on the grants program
4. Provide guidance on how to submit concepts online
