Médecins Sans Frontières is hiring a Project Supply Chain Manager for overseas assignments

Médecins Sans Frontières is an international, medical humanitarian organization working in more than 71 countries around the world. Our medical teams act fast to save people’s lives in conflict zones, natural disasters, and epidemics. We go where we are needed most.

Providing MSF with an understanding of local, socio-cultural determinants. Supporting beneficiaries with basic information regarding access to medical treatment, transportation and other actors (legal, social, etc) following MSF’s protocols, standards and procedures, in order to create links with the communities and contribute to the visibility an acceptance of MSF.

MAIN PURPOSE:

Ensure the smooth running of the daily supply activities of the project following SOP’s and tools. Participate to the planning of the project concerning all supply activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure proper Order Processing in the project.
    • Ensure efficient and effective local purchase management in the project. 
    • Ensure efficient physical (warehousing) and administrative (management of movements) stock management. 
    • Ensure the availability of relevant management data to the owners of the stock, project and capital coordination (expired drugs, risk of shortages, stock reports, lead time, pipeline…) and communicate them to stakeholders on regular bases.
    • Ensure efficient supply of pharmacies in the project.
    • Ensure efficient supply administration, and implementation standards supply tools such LogistiX 7, Unifield. 
    • Supervise the supply team (Supply Officer, storekeeper, and purchaser…).
    • Make the project team aware of supply issues that can have an impact on project planning.
  • Participate in monthly reports 
  • Ensure the HR set-up related to supply (team size, JD’s, Organigram, distribution of tasks and responsibilities), manage the project supply team. Participate in the selection, provide support (train/coach) and evaluate the staff under his-her responsibility

EDUCATION:

Essential degree and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain is an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in supply chain.

Essential 2 years of previous working experience in logistics activities related jobs.

LANGUAGES:

English:C1

French: C2

Other linguistic skills will a plus…

KNOWLEDGE:

Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
