The Project Specialist reports to the Chief of Party. The Project Specialist position combines responsibilities in the area of program management, donor and public relations support for Ma3an programming in the target community of Le Kram, which is a USAID showcase and model for
Ma3an’s PYD and PVE community-based interventions and where Ma3an expects high numbers of GoT, donor and CODEL visits. In addition, the Program Specialist will provide executive support to the Chief of Party.


Role and Responsibilities:


Help in designing and managing discreet Ma3an program interventions in the target community
of Le Kram in Tunis and provide support and backstopping to ongoing Ma3an program initiatives
at the direction of the Chief of Party, to ensure program objectives and goals are met.
Work with Ma3an stakeholders and beneficiaries on Ma3an project related services in Le Kram and serve as primary point of contact for the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party between stakeholders, partners, local authorities and beneficiaries.
Track project deliverables and financial targets and monitor Ma3an project performance in Le Kram and provide technical assistance when needed.
Prepare, review and/or edit Ma3an project progress reports to ensure quality, and apprise Chief of Party of any critical issues, as they arise in Le Kram;
Work with communications consultant in public relations and event planning with local partners and USAID to showcase and publicize Ma3an Le Kram programming and initiatives with GoT and donor officials.
Frequent travel to Le Kram at the request of the Chief of Party to monitor program implementation and provide technical support.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure effective support to the field, and to provide accurate information to the field.
Manage COP calendar, set up meetings, travel and accommodation arrangements and other administrative duties;
Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports and take minutes during meetings.
Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence and organize and maintain the COP office filing system.

شروط الترشّح

  • At least four years of experience in international development;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in management, international development or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant fields at international level; Masters’ degree in a related area preferred;
  • Be a proven strategic planner with strong technical knowledge, demonstrating conceptual and analytical ability, good judgement, and an adaptive and flexible capacity;
  • Have excellent report-writing skills with the ability to analyze and distil complex narrative and financial information;
  • Have advanced proficiency in computers, software, spreadsheet and finance management packages;
  • Be familiar with media, media development and / or using social media in a development context;
  • Have an understanding of research and research best practices;
  • Be energetic and forward thinking; a creative individual with intellectual depth and high ethical standards, and discretion;
  • Experience in project management, sub-awards and contracts; Willingness and ability to travel frequently;
  • Excellent English, French and Arabic communication skills (written and oral);
