Major Functions
The Project officer (PO), with the support and supervision of the WWF NA Landscape & Adaptation Program Manager, ensures the implementation of the activities of the Power of Voices project (PoVs), funded by the WWF NL. PoVs project aim (i) to strengthen civil society organizations so that they are capable of lobbying and advocacy and has a central role as innovators, facilitators and advocates of climate solutions, (ii) amplify voices of groups vulnerable to climate change with a focus on theme of the Power of Voices Policy Framework “Climate mitigation & climate adaption’ and (iii) to establish a common roadmap to lobby and advocate for policies and financial flows for natural conservation with livelihoods of vulnerable people.
Major duties and Responsibilities:
- With the support of the WWF NA Landscape & Adaptation Program Manager, develops workplans for the project implementation;
- Implements the field activities of the Power of Voices project;
- Develops the knowledge and technical and information materials necessary for the project implementation;
- Manages the organization and logistic for meetings and workshops to be organised in the framework of the project in the project areas;
- Develops and maintains relations with the project stakeholders and beneficiaries;
- With the support of the Program Manager, develops and maintains relations with concerned public administration entities;
- Manages the monitoring framework for the project, as detailed in the proposal, and collects data for its implementation;
- Acts as representative of WWF NA on the Local Committee of PoVs Project in Tunisia in partnership with WWF NL and Hivos Tunisia;
- Prepares progress technical report for PoVs Project with the support of the WWF NA Landscape & Adaptation Program Manager;
- Supports the Program Manager in the implementation of WWF Social and Environmental Safeguards (ESSF);
- With support of the Landscape & Adaptation Program Manager and the F&A Team, ensures the management of the project budget according to WWF NA administration standards and procedures and supports the project administration for the project financial reporting;
- Upon agreement with supervisor, undertakes travel and missions aimed at the effective undertaking of all the above-mentioned duties;
- Attends WWF NA meetings as required by the project supervisor and participates in training to develop required skills and learn about WWF policies and procedures;

Working Relationships
Internal:
- Reports to the WWF NA Landscape & Adaptation Program Manager
- Works closely with the WWF NA administration;
- Interacts regularly with WWF NA wider team.
External:
- Establishes and maintains stable working relationships with project partners, other relevant regional organizations, NGOs, and national and local administrations
