  • Organization Description:
The Changers is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in Tunisia, aiming to develop national culture among young people and encouraging them to engage in a positive change process for more resilient local communities.
 
  • Ma3an Project Description:
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funds the Ma3an project, a seven-year project (September 2018 – August 2025) aimed at increasing civic engagement and economic empowerment of Tunisian youth to promote sustainable and inclusive development in Tunisia.
Ma3an is implemented by FHI 360, a nonprofit human development organization dedicated to sustainable improvement of lives by offering integrated, local solutions. Ma3an operates in 33 communities across 15 governorates in Tunisia.
 
  • Ma3an Project Objectives:
The goal of the Ma3an project is to increase civic engagement and economic empowerment of Tunisian youth to promote sustainable and inclusive development in Tunisia. Ma3an achieves its goal through two interdependent objectives:
Objective 1: Youth have improved access to skills, services, and opportunities for civic engagement and economic empowerment.
Objective 2: Tunisian youth lead and significantly participate in activities addressing the priorities of youth and the community.
 
  • Tasks and duties of the Project Manager:
The responsibilities of the Project Manager position include, but are not limited to :
– Overseeing the development of a comprehensive project plan aligned with deadlines and organizational goals.
– Identifying and mitigating potential project risks, ensuring timely delivery, and adhering to financial constraints.
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of project milestones and smooth execution.
– Establishing and implementing efficient systems for project monitoring and evaluation to measure results and track progress.
– Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting project data to inform decisions and enhance project effectiveness.
– Managing expectations, maintaining open lines of communication, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project’s lifecycle.
– Monitoring the production and maintenance of all project documentation to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to organizational guidelines.
– Leading regular project meetings, providing updates, addressing challenges, and facilitating problem-solving sessions with the project team.
– Collaborating as needed to support project deliverables with external vendors, partners, or consultants.
– Ensuring the effective completion of all administrative duties associated with the project, including reporting, paperwork, and logistics coordination.
 
  •  Profile of the Project Manager:
– A university degree in a relevant discipline, such as business administration, project management, or a related field.
– Experience in overseeing the development of comprehensive project plans, managing activities, including effectively leading a team, and implementing high-quality governorate-level activities.
– Proven success in leading challenging projects from inception to completion, preferably in activities aligned with the mission of our organization.
– Previous coordination experience in non-governmental organizations and at the community level, specifically in youth engagement activities.
– Proficient in streamlining procedures and enhancing project outcomes through the use of project management tools.
– Outstanding analytical abilities enabling the evaluation of performance indicators, opportunities, and project risks.
– Exceptional communication skills and a history of engaging stakeholders, fostering dialogue, and presenting results.
