ABOUT IFES/TUNISIA 

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is a global leader in democracy promotion. The IFES Tunisia office is dedicated to supporting the capacity of electoral institutions, engaging youth and marginalized communities, and promoting inclusive and active participation across all segments of society.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Project Coordinator (PC) will support the timely implementation of project activities in accordance with the project documents, within the budget allocated by donors, and in conformity with IFES rules and procedures. They contributes to the monitoring and evaluation of the projects in close coordination with the senior team and in conformity with Monitoring and Evaluation plans. This is a full-time, Tunis-based position through a contract until August 31, 2025, with a possibility of extension, contingent on funding. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with program activities managed by the IFES Tunis office.  
  • Contribute to analytical reports, project design, and project evaluations.
  • Coordinate project implementation and monitoring
  • Draft Scopes of Work (SOW) 
  • Liaise regularly with consultants and contracts to discuss progress in implementing their SOW.
  • Assist the team in monitoring the consultants’ and contractors’ work in order to ensure that deliverables are produced in a timely fashion and in conformity with their SOWs.
  • Provide support to IFES-sponsored events, including working with the Senior Logistics and Security Manager in identifying venues, planning local travel for participants, and other related tasks.
  • Collect written contributions from consultants for donors’ reports as appropriate.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing quarterly reports, and program success stories.
  • Maintain effective communication with local partners.
  • Prepare and contribute to periodic reports detailing project progress and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer to ensure the collection of relevant data and compliance with the results management framework.

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • University degree equivalent to the bachelor’s level is required, though a master’s degree is preferred in project management, business administration, international relations, law, political science, or any other related fields.
  • Two to four years of professional experience, including project management, project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Experience with an international organization, governmental or non-governmental, is an asset.
  • Experience with international donors is an asset
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in event management and organizations
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Travel
