Organizational Context and Scope:
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the overall supervision of the IOM Tunisia’s Deputy Chief of Mission, and directed supervision of the Research, Grants and M&E Officer, the successful candidate will be tasked to assist the development, implementation and reporting to the RDPP project and to overall support the migration and development unit.
The project, funded by the European Union, targets five countries (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia). The first phase of the project, funded under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI), started in February 2016, and ended in October 2020, and the second phase of the project, funded under the EU Trust Fund Africa (EUTF) North Africa window, began in January 2019, and will end in December 2022. RDPP NA DEV aims at strengthening the resilience of migrants together with their host communities. The project seeks to shape public opinion on migrants and to enhance integration via interventions that focus on anti discrimination and access to the labour market (job matching and entrepreneurship).

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
∙ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, human resources, psychology, or other similar domain from an accredited academic institution and three years of relevant professional experience; or master’s or equivalent or Higher degree in the above fields with one year of relevant professional experience.
∙ Experience in Migration and Development and/or migrant integration.
∙ Experience working with government counterparts, private sector, international organizations and/or non-governmental organizations (NGO) is an asset.
∙ Experience with Microsoft Office products; especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∙ Sound knowledge of financial and administrative skills.
∙ Strong organizational and planning skills.
∙ Excellent time management skills.
∙ Attention to details and problem-solving skills.
∙ Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Languages:
Fluency in French, Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required.
Other:
∙ Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances. Subject to certain exemptions, vaccination against COVID-19 will in principle be required for individuals hired on or after 15 November 2021. This will be verified as part of the medical clearance process.
