Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Programme Coordinator who will be working in the Social Cohesion sector.
About the job
DRC and the Mixed Migration Centre (MMC) have been identified by UNDP as its potential implementing partner in charge of supporting the production of a contextualized diagnosis of (i) the existing pressures exerted on social cohesion and of (ii) the governance and management capacities of civil society associations in the governorates of Medenine, Tataouine and Gabes. The position is subject to funding confirmation.
The project would represent the start-up phase of the Tarabot II initiative and would revolve around three main components and their inherent tasks described as follows:
1. Facilitate a consultation process around the results of the social cohesion surveys in Tataouine and Gabes
2. Advise on the priority capacity-building needs of civil society in Medenine, Tataouine and Gabes
3. Provide qualitative data on the impact of migration on social cohesion in Medenine, Tataouine and Gabes
Reporting to, guided and directed by the Head of Programme, the Social Cohesion Coordinator main duties and responsibilities will be:
