Job Title: Program Officer

Project: Ma3an

Location: Tunis, Tunisia

Scope of Work

The Program Officer will work in close collaboration with the Sustainability Advisor and the program team. He/She will assist in coordinating the establishment of the local development fund mechanisms in “Ma3an” communities, collaborate with the team in the implementation of the program development team” strategy and advise on the planning and development of the different community led activities.

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide the “ma3an” team with technical advice on the contextualization of the Local Development Fund model, coordinate with the local and national experts and support the development of the different implementation strategies.
  • Follow up with the local partners on the development of the sustainability plans and assist them throughout its implementation.
  •  Facilitate the workshops, roundtables and townhalls related to the sustainability of “ma3an” program and assist community stakeholders in its organization,
  • Coordinate with the MEL team on documenting results and outcomes, analyzing the activity feedbacks and coordinating on the necessary adjustments.
  • Support the regional managers, grants teams and local partners in the ongoing capacity building efforts of “Ma3an” beneficiaries.
  • Assist in the drafting of quarterly reports, as well as those of activities and events.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability advisor and the program team on updating the activity calendar and adjusting the work plan accordingly.

شروط الترشّح

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and Graduate degree preferred in economics, business, marketing or a related field
  • Must have 2-5 years of technical and/or practical experience supporting development projects in economic development, or similar field
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English, Arabic and French
  • Positive, pro-active personality with good interpersonal and networking skills
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization preferred
  • Experience with international programs preferred
  • Familiarity with US Government rules and regulations is highly desirable
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff
  • Ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous processes, set realistic priorities, and develop/adhere to plans for successful implementation of activities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
