Program Manager-SNJT Retour vers les opportunités

In the framework of a joint project with HIVOS People Unlimited to support Freedom of Expression (FoE) and Information project, the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Project Manager.

Contract type: Limited Term Contract (13 months)

Responsibilities and tasks:

-S/he will work on the good management of the project, to ensure its implementation, with an appropriate monitoring system to track its progress.

-Coordination with the Program Officer for the proper implementation of the activities and evaluation of the accompanying reports.

-Coordination with the donor and project partners for the proper follow-up and evaluation of the project’stages and results.

-Coordinating meetinbgs, organizing trainings and researching the development of relations with CSO’s actors interested in media situation and freedom of expression in order to establish an effective communication planfor the project.

-Work to provide preparation of all literary and financial reports.

– Work to find support and advocacy relationships for the project, in line with the ethical and professional controls and work policies of the SNJT.

Required Qualifications:

 Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, political science, humanities or social sciences.

Strong skills in report writing and supporting proposal development. 

Extensive knowledge of the media

Good understanding of project management and implementation for NGO’s, application of advocacy strategies, financial management systems, budget development, monitoring and reporting.

 At least 4 years of experience in project management  relaéted to freedom of expression and press. 

 You have excellent communication and social interaction skills, and fluent in both written and spoken English, Arabic and French.

Good knowledge of computer softwares ( Excell, Word…) and internet.
