Scope of Work

FHI 360 is implementing the Department of State Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA) project in Tunisia. In partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT), the goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment.

This goal would be achieved through a technical support to three handicrafts value chains, including the initiatives of three clusters. A first step was initiated by a technical support to the value chain “Natural extract” in the north west of Tunisia. While keep providing support to this value chain, the project will focus on additional sectors.

The Program Assistant intern will work in close collaboration with the program management and the program team. He/She will assist with analysis and mapping of the additional sectors. He/She will also collaborate with the team in the implementation of the program activities.

Primary responsibilities:

·         Support the proper organization of field visits, workshops, trainings, and meetings

·         Maintain files of activities, events, research reports and other related documentation

·         Support information collection for mapping research

·         Data entry and update of contact databases

·         Follow-up on networking and exchange with the project beneficiaries and partners

·         Assist with the development of contacts for strategic partnerships

·         Draft and follow-up on routine correspondences (email, phone, paper, etc.);

·         Assist with delivery of technical assistance where relevant

·         Understand, support, and comply with internal organizational policies

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, and Graduate degree preferred in business management, economics, communication, social sciences, humanities or a related field
  • Demonstrable familiarity with writing for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic, French and English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a helpful and pleasant attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to draft and proof-read research, communication, report materials
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure, prioritize, meet deadlines
  • Demonstrative sensitivity and understanding in a cross-cultural environment
  • Willingness and availability to travel domestically
