Background: 

The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) is an international, nonprofit organization that specializes in global education and development. IREX works with partners in more than 100 countries, including Tunisia through The Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program’s Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program (Tunisia UGRAD) and Tunisia Community College Scholarship Program (TCCSP) are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in their implementation by IREX.

Since the inaugural year of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program in 2013, more than 600 undergraduate students from all 24 governorates of Tunisia have had the opportunity to study at 107 colleges and universities in 39 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Through integrated programming, students enhance their academic and English skills, strengthen their leadership capacity, and further develop their professional expertise. Alumni return home poised to contribute to their communities, their professional fields, and their country.

Objective:

IREX is seeking experienced trainer or company to support an anticipated workshop on “Program and Project Management ” for two days

The workshop aims to work with the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) Alumni to give them the tools to manage and implement projects,  to initiate a project plan, organize their team and manage both stakeholders and relationships. This workshop will help alumni learn to plan projects in a coordinated progression of completed objectives with built in contingency planning and  early warnings for disruption to the project timeline.

Job Description for the Project Management Trainer:

• Refine and implement trainings in any of five theme areas:

1. Contract and Grant Administration
2. Project Design
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
4. Financial Planning and Budgeting
5. Procurement Oversight

• Deliver instructor led development related training session;
• Develop the training materials;
• Conceptualize and create self-paced intranet courses that augment instructor-led classroom courses;
• Exercise quality control on training outputs; and
• Supervise training updates, feedback surveys, evaluations, etc.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-10 years experience in program and project management
• Experience facilitating instructor led and/or distance-learning development related training sessions;
• Experience developing instructor led and/or distance-learning development related training sessions;
• A. or M.S. degree in a related field is preferred.
• Strong team working skills;
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise technical documents.
• Possesses cultural sensitivities and insights critical for effective classrooms of diverse adult participants.

Required: 

Individual instructors must possess a thorough and current knowledge relevant to the course material to be taught. Applicable knowledge would include:

• relevant operational experience in a mission, bureau, or independent office or technical sector related to the course material.
• experience in drafting and reviewing training sessions’ outcomes

Preferred: 

Fluency/Advanced Proficiency in English

Proposal/Offer Submission:

Each bidder must submit the following:

1. A narrative “pitch” describing the basic session outline of how the workshop would be structured.
2. Budget/financial proposal including a description of costs for personnel, logistics. The contractor will provide all necessary materials, documents and special equipment.
3. Include an overall cost for the contract.
4. A sample of the training materials for this workshop
