Procurement Intern Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Procurement Specialist, the procurement intern provides a variety of specialized and non-specialized transactional support services, ensuring consistency and quality of work steps completed, as well as optimal information flow:

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Organize electronic and physical procurement files.
• Assist in the preparation for audits.
• Communicate to the focal points/supervisors of any missing documentation on solicitation files and follow up until files are complete.
• Monitor and process Travel Expense Authorizations.
• Process staff accommodation.
• Process staff transportation when needed.
• Process micro purchases.
• Follow up on the reception and accuracy of invoices submitted by vendors.
• Submit and monitor payments of the related invoices.
• Assist in the preparation of Purchase Orders or their Amendments.
• Publish procurement advertisements and awards.
