Job Summary

Supports activities related to the procurement of materials, parts and equipment for the company. Submits and process es purchase orders as authorized following policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.  Assists with monitoring departmental costs, schedules and performance to ensure approval and payment of transactions completion. Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventories at planned levels.

Accountabilities:

· Provide procurement support for both FHI 360 and sub–grants.

· Reviews purchase requisitions to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications.

· Assists with developing bid specifications.

· Collect quotations, issue RFP/RFQs, draft selection memos, liaise with vendors, and conduct

any other procurement tasks as necessary.

· Coordinate with team members, hotels and other service providers to ensure event

organization and hotels bookings.

· Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists for department.

· Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation

· Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among

suppliers

· Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late

deliveries to ensure contract terms and organization’s needs are met.

· Checks shipments to ensure orders are filled correctly and goods meet specifications.

· Assists with developing and revising procurement operating procedures and policies.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Finance, Management, Supply chain, procurement, etc.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience working in procurement, logistics, operations, or administrative and financial management
  • Previous experience with an international organization or NGO strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and/or Arabic and English
  • Knowledge of procurement standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures regarding procurement services.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and prepare reports.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
