We seek qualified candidates for the position of Procurement Assistant.

About ACEA:

FHI 360 is implementing Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA) project in Tunisia, funded by the U.S. the Department of State. In partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT), the goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment.

This goal would be achieved through technical assistance to five handicrafts value chains.

The Position

Accountabilities:

  • Provide procurement support for both FHI 360 and sub–grants.
  • Reviews purchase requisitions to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications.
  • Assists with developing bid specifications.
  • Collect quotations, issue RFP/RFQs, draft selection memos, liaise with vendors, and conduct any other procurement tasks as necessary.
  • Coordinate with team members, hotels and other service providers to ensure event organization and hotels bookings.
  • Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists for department.
  • Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation
  • Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among suppliers.
  • Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries to ensure contract terms and organization’s needs are met.
  • Checks shipments to ensure orders are filled correctly and goods meet specifications.
  • Assists with developing and revising procurement operating procedures and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • High School Diploma or its international equivalent
  • Previous experience working in procurement, logistics, operations, or administrative and financial management
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Previous experience with an international organization or NGO strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and/or Arabic, proficiency in English preferred
