This role is focused on supporting the acquisition of new partners and sponsorships to grow access to Soliya’s virtual exchange programs and its technology platform. The successful candidate will liaise with educators and administrators in universities and colleges as well as national and local government officials, international organizations, civil society groups, and the media to create opportunities for inclusion in and awareness about Soliya programs. They will help educators and officials understand how Soliya’s programs work and how young people can benefit from them, and secure buy-in for establishing meaningful and lasting partnerships. Candidates should have excellent communications skills to represent Soliya with partners and to develop presentations and other materials.

The coordinator will ideally be based in Tunis, Tunisia but we are considering remote candidates who are based in the MENA region. The officer will work closely with the Sr. Coordinator for Outreach for Europe and South Asia, and report to the Director of Global Partnerships and Communication.  Fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent writing and editing skills, are required.

Day-to-day activities:

• Screen and respond to initial inquiries and program applications; help university professors/administrators and the general public understand the mission, programs, and the platform
• Track and report on partner communications and negotiate memoranda of understandings to secure partnership agreements with universities and colleges; ensure the policies that guide the partnership are well understood by all parties; and meet ambitious partnership targets per funder requirements
• Manage a growing database of contacts and keep it up to date; seek, identify and advocate for improvements and efficiencies in system processes that can help drive actionable insight from data
• Cultivate relationships with local and regional media, help curate and pitch stories
• Represent Soliya at trainings, workshops, seminars, and meetings with and for civil society, international organizations and governments officials
• Create presentation materials where the content is clear, concise and written with culturally and functionally diverse audience in mind.
• Show day-to-day flexibility and attention to detail to adhere to different funder guidelines on communication materials
