Dialogue with Civil Society for Rights and Equality” Programme is a Technical Assistance Programme contracted by the European Union. The main objective of the Programme is to strengthen the role of CSOs active at the regional level, in building sustainable development, regional cohesion and resilience, as well as in influencing policy-making in the Southern Neighbourhood and the Euro-Mediterranean Space. The Programme is currently looking for an Administrative and Finance Assistant.

Administrative & Finance Assistant

Working under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Administrative and Finance Assistant will support the Programme in carrying out the following tasks:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the provisions and rules relating to the implementation of the programme and operating specifications (cash allocation to the advance fund, accounting, supply of accounting records to the head of mission for control, etc.);
  • Ensure the timely provision of resources for activities (budget, treasury, consumables, fixed assets) and the management of related flows;
  • Provide assistance in drafting of budget agreements, or contributions for grants or other activities as appropriate;
  • In close cooperation with the team leader, management of the project’s bank accounts (monitoring of receipts and outgoing payments) and management of the project’s financial monitoring tool;
  • Management of the project petty cash;
  • Preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation;
  • Assist with day-to-day administration of contracts and liaise with relevant external suppliers and service providers for invoices and payments;
  • Prepare, processes and follows-up on administrative arrangements and forms related to the official travel of staff and experts being contracted by the programme;
  • Draft routine correspondence;
  • Maintain files of rules, regulations, administrative instructions and other related documentation;
  • Attend internal and external meetings as requested and prepare meeting minutes;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or the Key Experts.

 

The job location is Tunis.
The compensation package will include salary commensurate with experience. The Programme offers a one-year renewable contract up until 15 January 2022.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Good organizational skills and ability to liaise with various partners;
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel (acquaintance in creating spreadsheets and using financial functions);
  • Familiarity with accounting software;
  • Knowledge of the civil society context is an asset.
  • Good time-management skills;
  • At least 5 years of experience in accountancy and financial management ideally in an EC funded project;
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, financial management or similar;
  • Good command of Arabic, English and French, both in writing and speaking
