The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Libya Delegation is recruiting a Maintenance Technician in its office in Libya Support Unit, Tunis. The Maintenance Technician will assist the hierarchy in running the premises, maintain contacts with external interlocutors & contribute to the implementation of the Administrative and Financial procedures.

Main responsibilities:

• Maintenance / Premises:
  • Ensures that the equipment is properly preserved -Contributes to the passive security set-up of premises
  • Controls residence equipment regularly and Initiates requisition orders/internal requisition order
  • Controls the household items stock and delivers
  • Distributes missing items for offices. Is in charge of planning maintenance for ICRC premises.
  • Organizes and supervises the work of maintenance contractors and daily workers,
• Electrical:
  • Ensures Electrical installation such as new cabling, wiring,
  • Maintains and performs to repair electricity network of the delegation and residences
  • Repairs electrical devices
  • Checks and services transformers Repairs and fits household electrical equipment
• Plumbing:
  • Installs new water pipe lines,
  • Maintains and performs to repairs water supply system of the delegation and residences,
  • Checks and repairs blockage and broken part of pipelines.
  • Installs and repairs cold and hot water line, basin, tap, shower etc.
  • Checks and repairs pressure pump, compressor, water pump.
• Air conditioning service:
  • Ensures New air-con installation,
  • Maintains and regular servicing under supervision,
  • Checks and repairs air-con accessories
• Mason Works and Painting:
  • Performs minor mason works,
  • Makes lamp post base, air-con outdoor unit base.
  • Fills back the hole of split type air con with cement after installation, repairs broken and blockage drainage and
  • Performs minor painting when required
