The Tunisian League for Citizenship was founded on March 7 th 2011.
LTC have has as principle objectives :
▪ Defend and deepen the values of citizenship and the universal values of Human Rights.
▪ Strengthen and empower Youth participation in Civil Society and Public Sphere.
▪ Create healthy spaces for debate, discussion and exchange.
-LTC is present throughout Tunisia, especially in marginalized and disadvantaged areas. One of
the key projects that LTC is leading is The Center of Democracy, Citizenship, and Development.
CD2 centers , supported a project of partnership with Hanns Seidel Foundation,
operating in four governorates since 2017 (Kef, Sidi Bouzind, Ben Arous and Nabeul).
CD2 centers are allocated to the civil society of each region presenting a citizen space of meeting and exchanging tackling mainly the capacity building of CSOs, municipalities, and civil
society actors. Our centers provide free spaces and trainings for CSOs that lack sources and
guidance.

Function Overview
Active Citizens Program
*Funded by the the British Council with UK and delivered by LTC in Tunisia aims to strengthen young people’s engagement in their communities – their ability to “survive and thrive” whatever pressures and hazards they confront. It will be implemented in one year 2020-2021) in 7 cities in Tunisia : Kef –Monastir -Kairouain- Grand Tunis –Ben Arous- Manouba and Sousse . The program:
-Engages young people in designated areas through activities that are likely to interest them, such as Active Citizens, sports, education, local governance, culture and social enterprise.
-Helps young people to identify local issues and trains them to develop the networks and skills to respond
-Mentors young people as they apply their skills to design and deliver social initiatives to enhance community life
– rains CSOs to better communicate their work to young people and develop initiatives that create opportunities to engage local youth Supports young people and CSOs to communicate their experiences to their local community and beyond.
Job description:
-Arranges logistics for the local activities, including all logistics for organizing trainings, seminars and conferences.
-Liaises with local partners to monitor sub-award implementation.
-Prepares detailed reports on AC project and partner activities.
-Assists in gathering, organizing and reporting Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) data, including activity sign-in sheets, questionnaires and narrative reports, among others.
-Provides translation of program documents as needed, including translating reports and communication from local partners and beneficiaries from Arabic to English.
