USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) Project is a 4-year project that aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. Deloitte, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The Project team will work in 11 governorates, 31 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country through four regional hub offices located in Kef, Kairouan, Gabes and Tozeur, supported by headquarters in Tunis.
The Municipal Communication Specialist will provide technical assistance to municipalities in developing and implementing their communication strategy. The position falls under the objective 1 of the TADAEEM project, which aims at Improving citizen participation and municipal communication.
The Specialist shall report to the Objective 1 Lead and shall work with the CSO specialists based in the regions. The Specialist shall also coordinate with Institutional and Capacity Development and Service Delivery Teams in Tunis and their counterpart staff at the Regional Hubs.
The Specialist shall be based at the Tunis Office and shall be expected to undertake frequent field missions to the TADAEEM regions and participating municipalities.
