Title: Development Manager
General Job Description: The Development Manager (DM) reports to the Executive Director (ED) and is responsible for Fundraising and Public Affairs. The DM organizes the Board and Council meetings. The DM is responsible for organizing and compiling the information to be presented at the Board and Council meetings.
General Goals: To guarantee the economic resources required by INJAZ Tunisia to accomplish its mission and to strengthen INJAZ Tunisia public image among sponsors and the business community.
Development Manager’s responsibilities
Fundraising:
- Meet INJAZ Tunisia’s annual budget;
- Coordinate, with the ED, fundraising policies, priorities, goals and budgets;
- Report fundraising activities and its results to the Executive Director;
- Design, run and evaluate fundraising policies regarding national and international corporations, organizations for international cooperation, corporate and independent foundations at a national and international level;
- Research and review prospective donors, attend meetings with potential sponsor together with the Executive Director, write funding proposals, implement donors satisfaction evaluation survey and design, together with the Program Manager, new initiatives for funding educational projects;
- Make oral and written presentations (Arabic, French and English) to prospective donors;
- Responsible for extensive follow up procedures with each prospect;
- Recognize INJAZ Tunisia’s sponsors and is responsible for organizing Board and Council meetings;
- Maintaining donor databases, working with fundraising committee and overseeing event planning and campaigns as needed.
Public Affairs:
- Uphold public relations with national and international corporations, the local business community, national and international foundations and chambers.
- Design and implement strategic alliances with new and ongoing partners such as other NGOs, local governmental organizations, national and international corporations and chambers.
- Develop and execute varied and integrated communications products including website, print publications, newsletters, online communications, media and public relations.
- Responsible for maintaining the communication between INJAZ Tunisia and INJAZ Al Arab (Junior Achievement Worldwide).
Council and Board Development:
- Organize the annual meeting schedule for the Board and Council meetings
- Design follow up reports measuring development performance to be reported to the Executive Director and to the Board of Directors.
- Create power point presentations to be showed at the Council meetings.
