Project Description:

The Project Coordinator will assist with project implementation, as well as logistical and administrative support for the IFES Libya field office in Tunis. The Project Coordinator will have the opportunity to gain experience in program administration and implementation as well as writing to shape IFES’ work to promote technical assistance to election management in Libya. This position reports to the IFES Libya Chief of Party (CoP) and Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP).

Job Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and supervision of the IFES Libya CoP/DCoP and in close coordination with the Logistics Associate and Finance and Administrative Assistant, the Project Coordinator will perform the following tasks:

Program Implementation:

  • Coordinate the administrative and logistical preparation of IFES Libya activities such as conferences, workshops, seminars, and meetings, etc.
  • Coordinate the social media accounts of IFES Libya – e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Attend and report on internal and external meetings and other discussions about assigned projects;
  • Prepare and draft agreements, and translate back-up documents as needed;
  • Assist with program development and conceptualization;
  • Assist technical specialists with coordination and development of briefing/training documents, and materials for programmatic activities;
  • Provide required assistance and coordination with civil society partners, government institutions, research centers, and the judiciary;
  • Provide translation and interpretation as needed.

Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Coordinate the collection of reports from all activities carried out as part of the IFES Libya program, including drafting weekly reports shared with IFES Libya staff in field offices and HQ, and drafting quarterly reports to donors;
  • Coordinate and manage the collection of needed data for the fulfilment of IFES Libya monitoring and evaluation plan;
  • Assist with editing/writing reports, and press releases;

Office/Administrative Management:

  • Provide administrative support to the IFES Libya CoP/DCoP as required;
  • Other duties as assigned by the CoP/DCoP.

 

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Masters (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in public administration, law, political science, or related field
  • Interest in institutional and political developments in Libya, especially elections, would be an asset
  • Interest in institutional and political developments in Libya, especially elections, would be an asset
  • 2 years of related work experience with an international organization, specifically USAID or US State Department
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with program team
  • Experience in project coordination and liaison with project partners
  • Experience in project coordination and liaison with project partners
  • Experience writing donor reports, activity reports, and concept notes
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
