Project Background:

The USAID Fiscal and Accounting System of Tunisia (FAST) Project supports the Government of Tunisia (GoT) to improve public financial management.  FAST focuses specifically on enhancing and upgrading the government’s public financial management information system (PFMIS) to increase the efficiency, transparency, and predictability of public finances.  The project strengthens the government’s capacity to carry out fiscal, budgetary, and revenue collection mandates and advances electronic services to optimize regulations, procedures, and authorizations that reduce the cost and time burden on businesses, facilitate investment and trade, and promote innovation. Finally, FAST works to strengthen communication between policy makers and the public to build a common understanding of the constraints to—and opportunities for—economic expansion.

Purpose:

The Office & Logistics Assistant will support a variety of administrative and office support duties with guidance from the Director of Finance & Administration.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Support a variety of administrative tasks, receiving visitors, preparing meeting and training rooms, sorting and distributing mail
  • Work with technical and support staff to ensure smooth administrative processes
  • Arrange all project transport needs for workshops, meetings, site visits, or staff travel and/or lodging.
  • Research and maintain an up to date database of accommodation options (including contact details and prices) throughout project locations working with procurement, manage any agreements/contracts in place.
  • Assist with data entry and record management for all aspects of operations department administration.
  • Assist the Senior team with drafting and typing correspondence
  • Coordinate facilities services such as vehicle licenses and facilities supplies and maintenance.
  • Assist in processing financial requests-payment requests, travel advance, petty cash etc.
  • Coordinate facility preparation for meetings and trainings.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • At least 3 years of professional experience. Progressively responsible experience in administration, operations, logistics or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related field of study.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly computer literate with advanced e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with USAID projects preferred. Experience with international donor-funded projects also an advantage.
  • Experience and familiarity with DAI systems and procedures preferred.
  • Oral and written fluency in English. French and Arabic experience preferred.
