The Munathara Initiative hosts up to ten large events per year, inviting dozens of participants from throughout the Arab world to attend. The Logistics Coordinator will be a central role in the organization, coordinating, managing, and leading the organization of all of Munathara’s events, including negotiating group rates for hotels, managing flight bookings, processing visas, organizing ground transportation, and keeping track of the schedules and movements of Munathara’s staff and consultants. The Logistics Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with everyone on the team and plays a critical role in the smooth operations of the whole organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop productive, professional relationships with key hotels, ground transportation, and other vendors in the locations of Munathara’s debates;
  • Negotiate cost-effective contracts with all vendors according to Munathara’s budgets;
  • Manage the travel schedules for each debate, including coordinating flight times and ensuring all key participants and staff have the documentation necessary to travel;
  • Ensure proper adherence to visa policies in each country and support participants to apply for necessary visas;
  • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth communication with participants;
  • Support Munathara’s CEO and COO as needed.

The Munathara Initiative is a non-profit organization registered in the United States with an office in Tunis, Tunisia. This position is a full-time staff position, to work 40 hours per week, with potential travel required. Preferably, this position would be based in Tunisia or Jordan, but qualified candidates will also be considered to work remotely as long as they are able to travel frequently.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • At least 3 years work experience, preferably in a logistics or administrative position;
  • BA in communications, international relations, business, or other relevant field;
  • Very high level of proficiency in modern standard Arabic and English, French is a plus;
  • Experience managing complex productions in diverse environments;
  • Extremely organized, enjoys spreadsheets and tracking tools, and has an impressive attention to details;
  • Pro-active, entrepreneurial spirit, able to think creatively to solve problems;
  • Excellent team worker.
