Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the direct supervision of the Head of Sub-office (first supervisor) and of the Migration and Health Physician (second supervisor), the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the work of IOM Sfax on Migration and Health.
Support with maintaining and updating IOM database in the area of migration and health for the sub-office, including through ensuring that all health assistance to beneficiaries is recorded on the IOM Migrant Management & Operational System (MiMosa) and other relevant databases. Timely provide data for reporting.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
For Bachelor’s Degree holder a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience and for Diploma holder a minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience.
Excellent technical skills.
Experience in working with people from different cultural background is an advantage.
Training or working experience in the areas of Tuberculosis management, mass immunizations, communicable diseases, laboratory testing or public health is an advantage.
Knowledge of and experience in clinical nursing.
Knowledge of principles of preventive care and disease control.
Skills
Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within people at different levels within and outside organization and with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
Candidate should be highly motivated with dynamic personality and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
Ability to draft correspondence and communicate effectively;
High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook); experience in handling web-based management system;
Ability to analyse and interpret source information and data; capable of designing, reviewing and revising business processes to achieve efficiency;
Strong organizational and planning skills;
Excellent time management skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all three languages (Arabic, French, English);
Attention to details and problem-solving skills;
Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM’s official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For all applicants, fluency in French & Arabic is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of English is strongly desirable.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
