Do you have a track record of researching refugee and migrant rights in the Middle East and North Africa?
JOB PURPOSE
This position will lead on the development and implementation of research and advocacy strategies to deliver impact in relation to agreed priorities, utilising political judgement and analytical, communication and representational skills.
The role holder will provide authoritative advice to country and thematic specialists in the International Secretariat (IS) and the wider movement globally, concerning refugee and migrant rights in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region. While developing Amnesty International’s policy positions and advocacy strategies and contributing to developing the movement’s strategic goals and responses to human rights issues in this field.
This a hybrid remote position.
ABOUT YOU
You will have extensive knowledge of human rights issues, specifically of refugee and migrant rights, with experience conducting interviews and dealing in an appropriate manner with witnesses and survivors of human rights violations. You will have experience of developing and undertaking advocacy and campaigns, and the ability to confidently analyse and report on your findings, in English.
