Summary: World Learning seeks a MENA Program Officer II (Tunisia) based in Tunis, Tunisia to support the Middle East Partnership Initiative Alumni Engagement hereinafter referred to as “MEPI Alumni Connection Program”.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate international alumni conference for fall of 2025 to include travel, logistics, visa processing and requirements and vendor management
- Support organization of seminars, meetings, and appointments, and contribute towards the development of learning tools and virtual activities;
- Research and engage subject matter experts, technical assistance experts, and facilitators across all MENA countries;
- Arrange in-person and virtual programming logistics. Duties require knowledge of procurement, vendor relations, financial management and expenses reconciliation;
- Track and update alumni information as needed;
- Tailor complex reports, presentations and overall program updates as requested by the donor;
- Develop communications strategy to highlight MEPI alumni’s success and achievements on various social media platforms;
- Support an organizational culture of continuous learning through rigorous program monitoring, data tracking, donor and MERL reporting, research and reflection to ensure strong outcomes;
- Handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of practical experience working on international programs is preferred;
- Experience with international conference coordination required;
- A relevant bachelor’s degree;
- Solid knowledge of database tracking methods and proficient use of platforms;
- Strong written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English required;
- Strong cross-cultural experience with people from across the Middle East and North Africa region;
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with colleagues;
- Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and event planning ability;
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, logistical, and time management skills;
- International work or study experience in the United States preferred; alumni of MEPI, ECA or other USG programs strongly encouraged to apply.
