The Maghreb Economic Forum (MEF), is a Think-and-Do Tank, founded in 2011 on the premise of supporting further Maghreb integration and unlocking economic and social growth. With a population of 90 million the five founding members, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia can create a solid social and economic space to thrive in an era of globalization and digitalization.
Kamel Lazaar, founder and president of MEF stresses that:

We are seeking to hire a Communication Officer who will be an integral member of the MEF’s team and responsible for delivering and building projects of varying size and complexity. The Communication Officer is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling communication projects, under the direction of the Director of Communications.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of all MEF events (PR, speeches, running order, media management, floor management, key-messages and content creation)
• MEF Social media management & media relations
• Create creative content in close relation with the Research Department
• Monitoring creative work
• Support the implementation of key messages defined in Communications Strategy across all functions and media including development of all organizational documentation
• Give MEF Board visibility over the Tunisian context (Economic, Social, Entrepreneurship, MEF’s perception) & Social media reports
• Help with the identification and attraction of major speakers and develop even partnerships to highlight and maximize the impact of MEF’s research.
• Assist the senior management team with the development & implementation of the MEF’s fundraising strategy.
