ob Description

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM) in Tunisia and direct supervision of Migration Health Officer; and, in collaboration with relevant units at IOM Country Office, the Medical Data Assistant will be responsible and accountable for TORs below.

Responsibilities

1. Organize and maintain data effectively to streamline access and retrieval for staff members.

2. Ensure timely dispatching and sharing of Excel sheets containing appointment schedules to the medical team.

3. Verify data accuracy and distribute appointment lists to the appropriate personnel.

4. Keep staff members informed of data distribution updates and maintain up-to-date lists.

5. Compile and report weekly task lists for staff members to the supervisor.

6. Perform data cleaning procedures to enhance data quality after collection.

7. Coordinate with other teams to receive referrals and tasks lists, ensuring seamless collaboration.

8. Support in the preparation and writing of data reports, summarizing key findings and insights for management and stakeholders.

9. Assure support to staff members on data management processes and tools as needed, promoting data literacy within the organization.

10. Support in contacting beneficiaries for appointments

11. Can perform other tasks when requested by supervisor

Qualifications

EDUCATION
Minimum level of education: Licence in a relevant field ; political science, statistics, economics, social sciences or a related field, from an accredited academic institution, with 2 (two) years of relevant professional experience in data collection
. EXPERIENCE
 • Knowledge of Migration context in Tunisia and its provinces.
 • Experience in data collection (experience of data collection in rural areas and at community level is an asset, experience in data collection.
 • Experience in the use of Microsoft Suite
• Considerable experience in the use of Excel sheets.
• Previous work experience with international humanitarian organizations, governmental institutions/organizations in a multicultural context is an advantage.
• A good understanding of medical terminologies and/or migration issues, in particular rights and protection of migrants, is an advantage.
 • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
 • High level of integrity and commitment to data accuracy.
Skills
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian context of medical assistance in relevance to different migrants’ populations.
Languages
  • REQUIRED Fluency in French and Arabic is required.
  • DESIRABLE Working knowledge of English is desirable

Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
