Media Intern at MiCT in Tunis

MiCT Tunis is seeking dynamic, engaging students and graduates in media and communication with an interest in media training and production to join the Correspondents project.

MiCT – Media in Cooperation and Transition – is a German non-profit organisation funded in 2004 in Berlin whose focal point is in the fields of media development and political education in crisis regions. Since 2012 MiCT has been registered as a foreign association in Tunis to implement activities in the North African region. Through its activities MiCT aims to promote independent and professional journalistic reporting.

Correspondents.org is an Internet platform for journalists from Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. A network of at least fifty journalists from each country reports on historical events being watched all over the world.

By joining our team you will be involved in:

• Preparing workshops, meetings and presentations as well as supporting the office manager in organizing other media-related events;
• Researching and identifying of potential partners and media outlets for the promotion of Correspondents articles;
• Engaging with journalists and new media outlets;
• Helping the office manager to develop new strategies of improving journalists’ visibility and syndication;
• Creating reports to enhance monitoring and evaluation processes;
• Contributing to media analysis of the situation in Tunisia and North Africa.

Duration:

The duration of the internship program is three months, which may be extended for an additional three months.

The internship programme is on a part-­‐time basis. Interns are expected to work 32 hours per week in MiCT office in Tunis, under the supervision of the office manager.

Compensation: 350,00 EUR per month
