Main activities are concentrated on:

– Raising awareness andsensibilizationaboutthe kidney health issues 

– Psychological support to reduce the suffering of patients with kidney failure.

– Medical and psychological professional trainings

– Social inclusion, support and guidance for refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers

 – Medical caravans in Medenineincluding screening for chronic diseases.

– Defense of the rights of kidney patients and migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to get the neededquality of treatment as well as access to free health services.

Summary of Job

Under the project ‘’Prisoners of silence, our hearts hear you”, the consultant will contribute to analyzethe sexual health needs and sexual violence against dump-mute people in Medenine (Medenine North, Medenine south, Benguerden and Zarziss). 

Main tasks and Duties

• Coordination with Amal Association 
• As a first step, providing a detailed methodology to Amal association. Implementation will start after having the confirmation 
• Identifying theconcerned stakeholdersand selection of the participants for FGDs and KIIs as well as mobilizing them(preparatory meetings with stakeholders) 
• Creation of the tools for FGDs and KIIs (contextualized to the categories selected) 
• Data Collection (FGDs + transcription+ KIIs) 
• Analysis of the data collected and production of a draft report for review by the association 
• A final report includes:

• Table of contents 
• Abbreviations used
• Executive summary of methodology, limitations, key finding and lessons learned
• Methodology: Objectives, Data collection and analysis and limitation of the study
• Research finding, analysis, with associated data presented (should be structured around the main objectives/evaluation criteria and should cover all relevant indicators), including illustrated presentation within the report as appropriate 
• Appendices, which include detailed research instruments, list of interviewees, participants of FGDs

• Designing a guide includes the results of the study following to the recommendations of the association and donor

Qualifications and Requirements 

• University degree (Bac+ 5) 
• Good contextual knowledge of local specificizes and issues related to the topic, community priorities, social and cultural constraints and realities 
• Good command of EN or FR language (writing skills) 
• Demonstrated experience in realizing studies(at least 3 years required) 
• Background in integrated humanitarian programming (including Protection, violence against vulnerable people)
