We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Marketing and Communication Manager.
DESCRIPTION
FHI 360 is implementing Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA) project in Tunisia, funded by the U.S. the Department of State. In partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT), the goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment.
This goal would be achieved through technical assistance to two handicrafts value chains, including the initiatives of two clusters. A first phase supported the “Natural extracts” value chain in the Northwest of Tunisia and the Olive Wood value chain in Sfax and Sidi Bouzid. While expanding support to these value chains the project will begin supporting three additional value chains in 2021.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Project Director, the Marketing and Communication Manager will be supervising a team of four and fulfilling the following responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to programs and develop/update project’s strategies and plans in favor of meeting the project’s main objective: increase handicrafts exports, while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements
• Ensure the planning and the development of the Project’s marketing and communication activities.
• Conduct researches to understand beneficiaries’ needs in terms of technical support to meet the Project aims (enhance exports) and then develop strategies and action plans accordingly
. Provide technical supervision for consultants performing strategic market segmentation studies under contract to ACEA.
• Develop strategies and action plans for the regional branding and marketing of selected value chains for the Project beneficiaries.
• Provide support to the Project management such as troubleshooting and updating work plans
• May provide administrative support to the program as needed by writing and/or reviewing, quarter reports.
• Oversee the e-commerce activity and divide up employees on tasks. He/ She will also be responsible for interviewing, bringing their preferred candidates to upper management, and providing necessary training.
• Develop partnerships with local and international E-commerce platforms.
• Help project beneficiaries to meet customers’ expectations by recommending changes to products and packaging.
• Use information from discussions with program staff, interviews with partners, and data from monitoring and evaluation reports to report on program status and impact, including success stories, snapshots, press releases, weekly reports, quarterly reports, annual reports, and ad hoc reports.
• Provide technical support to programs and develop/update project’s strategies and plans in favor of meeting the project’s main objective: increase handicrafts exports, while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements
• Ensure the planning and the development of the Project’s communication strategy and activities and develop creative and effective ways to improve program communications
• Collaborate and coordinate with all project staff to create a participatory approach for reporting and communication
• Supervise the development of valuable and engaging content for digital communication (social networks, website and communication materials).
• Ensure coordination with the relevant counterparts of the Client and of FHI 360 HQ.
• Supervise the design and production of communication supports (videos, brochures, reports …) and provide recommendations about their presentation.
• Implement systems to develop different databases in relation with communication and PR (contacts, pictures, videos, reports related to events etc …)
