  1. Introduction

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by vulnerable people affected by conflict and instability all over the world.

 

  1. Background

In November 2021, DRC Tunisia started a 2-months pilot project called “Accelerated Creation of Employment in Medenine (ACREM 1)”. By the end of the project (December 31st, 2021), 17 new small businesses were created by young entrepreneurs benefiting from the DRC entrepreneurship training along with a small grant.

Building on the results achieved through “ACREM 1” which led to the creation of 17 new businesses in the south, DRC Tunisia aims to implement a second phase of the project “ACREM 2” targeting young entrepreneurs who recently create their businesses under phase 1 and are struggling with marketing and client relationship issues.

A post business creation accompaniment will be proposed to “ACREM 1” beneficiaries who will be trained on marketing strategies and how to make use of digital tools to enhance their businesses.

 

  1. Purpose of the consultancy

The purpose of this consultancy is to design and deliver training on marketing and digital marketing theories, tools, techniques and strategies to a group of about 15 young entrepreneur in Medenine governorate. The training aims to give participants foundational skills for developing marketing strategies, building a strong relationship with clients, as well as digital tools best practices to attract clients and ensure their engagement.

  • Overall Objectives

The ultimate objective of this consultancy is to elaborate a marketing and client relationship management strategy for each young entrepreneur (around 15) benefiting from the project.

  • Responsibilities and Tasks:

Collaborate on the design and adaptation of the training content and methodology

  • Consult with the DRC project team to discuss training content.
  • Prepare relevant material for the training and share it with DRC team.
  • Facilitate theoretical sessions and practical exercises aimed at building the participants’ marketing skills as well as their capacity to develop marketing and client relationship strategies.
  • Work closely with each participant to develop his marketing strategy.
  • Animate a workshop to finalize the marketing strategy for all participants.
  • Conduct a follow-up session to support participants in the implementation phase.

Report on training outputs and outcomes

  • Deliver an end-of-mission report (template to be agreed on with the DRC team), this report must contain the marketing strategy of each participant.
  • Provide in-depth feedback and recommendations for ongoing learning and mentorship.

 

  1. Deliverables, timeline & payment

This timeframe is tentative and can be revised based on the consultant(s) proposal:

The consultant(s) must be available to deliver the training during the month of June 2022. The consultancy is expected to be completed by July, 15th 2022.

Deliverables are not considered final until approved by the Project Manager.

One day of work is equal to 8 hours.

The proposed cost should cover all expenses includingnational travels. Accommodation costs will be covered by DRC.

The training venue and basic material and equipment for delivering the training will be provided by DRC.

Payment will be made in a lump sum at the completion of services.

 

  1. Reporting line

The consultant will report to the Project Manager.

 

  1. Consultant Qualifications and Expertise

Both companies and independent consultants are eligible.

International firms/individual may apply for this RFQ, but their offers will only qualify if the proposed consultant(s) have presence in Tunisia.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in delivering trainings.
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering training on marketing.
  • A university degree in business administration, business intelligence, marketing, or related field.
  • A training of trainer (ToT) certificate is desirable.

Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Strong knowledge of interactive learning methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualities

  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Dedicated to producing timely and high-quality output.

 

  1. Assessment and award of consultancy

DRC will evaluate the proposals and award the assignment based on technical (50%) and financial (50%) feasibility.

DRC reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal received without giving reasons and is not bound to accept the lowest or the highest bidder. Only those shortlisted will be contacted for an interview with the panel to ensure their understanding of the consultancy services.

 

  1. Selection criteria
