Logistics and Procurements Assistant
Internews Tunisia is looking for a “Logistics & Procurement Assistant” to support its projects in Tunisia.
LOGISTICS
This is a partially remote role, and candidates based in Tunis – Tunisia will be considered.
This is a fixed term position, with an expected end date of December 2024 (Renewable subject to funding)
DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:
- Responsible for the general office management duties including maintaining office supplies stock and tracking office inventories and assets, coordinating with building management for office maintenance and general office services.
- Responsible for direct coordination with in-country suppliers, including onsite meetings and vendor interactions as required.
- Liaise with local IT suppliers and Internews’ IT department on maintenance of Tunis office IT infrastructure.
- Support in all logistical elements of program implementation, including but not limited to organizing trainings and travel, and coordinating logistics for trainees, staff, consultants, etc.
- Support project teams in preparing logistical plans for project activities, including timelines and budget estimates when applicable.
- Preparing, tracking, and reviewing invoices, expense reimbursements, advance requests, and payment requests to Finance team ensuring proper back-up and policies are respected.
- Lead with the drafting and implementation of local contracts and purchase orders with general service and goods suppliers.
- Support with enforcement of procurement policy for the purchase of equipment, software, and other products and services, for program teams as well as for program partners.
- Ensure that documentation such as visas for trainees, visiting consultants, and expatriate staff members, contracts, insurance, travel clearance, etc., are completed.
- Maintain accurate filing systems both soft and hard copies in the office, with documented and supported records for audit purposes.
- Complete vetting for Internews’ beneficiaries including participants, vendors and consultants.
- Create and maintain a preferred vendor matrix.
- Assist with establishing standard forms and guidelines for event planning.
- Arrange and facilitate all logistics involved in the setting up and running of trainings such as preparation of facilities, venues, and equipment (e.g., microphones, laptops, recorders, USBs, etc.).
- Significant communication and interaction with program staff and HQ Accounting, Human Resources, Global Security Team, and Grants and Contracts Departments
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Relevant university degree or equivalent;
- 3-5 years of relevant experience; international development experience with USAID, US Department of State, or European funding preferred;
- Ability to work and reside in Tunis-Tunisia.

- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Arabic and/or French
