Logistics and Procurement Assistant 

(part-time contract with potential modification as full time according to funds availability) 

COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale is an Italian non-governmental organization founded in Milan in 1965 and presents in 33 countries. COOPI starts assessing for interventions since 2019 and it was formally register in Tunisia and Libya. COOPI applies a community-based approach where protection is mainstream in all of its multi-sectorial projects combining and connecting its intervention on livelihood, wash, education and human mobility. COOPI is now recruiting:

Position: Part- Time Logistics and Procurement Assistant 

Supervisor: Finance & Admin Officer and Head of Mission

Location: Tunis with potential travel in West Libya’s field operation and Tripoli (if security conditions allows)

Main Responsibilities

Supports the Finance & Admin Officer in the administrative and logistical management of missions in Tunisia and Libya / Supervises purchasing processes and supplier contracts.

Specific Tasks

• Prepare and draft contracts with suppliers and service providers in accordance with organizational standards.
• Collect and organize supporting documents required for payment processing.
• Ensure that all procurement processes are conducted in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.

• Support the Finance and Administration office in scanning, archiving, and organizing documentation.

• Make payments to suppliers and service providers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Deliver checks and official documents to suppliers as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, managing any requests and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

• Support the maintenance of accurate records of procurement and payment transactions.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Finance & Admin Officer or Programs Management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related discipline, obtained at least 2 years ago.
• 2 years of project management experience at NGOs or development agencies.
• Experience in WASH, governance, or resilience projects is preferred.
• Previous experience in Libya or in fragile/conflict-affected contexts is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and in volatile environments.
• Excellent reporting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with donor guidelines (particularly AICS, EU, UN) and project cycle management.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
