Seeking Qualified Young Professionals for NGO Development Program
AMIDEAST is pleased to announce the highly successful Professional Fellows Program (PFP) will again take place in 2014-2016. This two-way citizen exchange program is a capacity-building and professional development initiative that serves civil society development in Tunisia.
This program is designed for people with strong leadership skills who are early- to mid-career professionals and who are committed to making a lasting positive impact through work in the civil society (NGO) sector.
Areas of interest may include, but are not limited to: social development, public health, women and children’s issues, rule of law, arts and culture, education reform, transparency, free speech and media, youth engagement, human rights, and citizen participation.
Selected fellows will learn:
-Effective practices in organizational management (staff training, human resources, program evaluation)Increase ability to run effective outreach and public relations programs
-Acquire new skills to engage with policymakers and government officials
-Fundraising and proposal writing skills
-Exchange best practices with American peers in their field
-Key Facts of about PFP: Approximately nine Fellows will be selected from Tunisia to participate in a month-long
-fellowship experience in American NGO’s including: service organizations, advocacy groups, grassroots organizations, federal agencies, and congressional offices.
Fellowship dates (subject to adjustment): Fall Delegation: April 20- June 5, 2015
