Host Organizations

Program Brief:

The Lazord fellowship is a one-year regional program with simultaneous chapters in Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia. Each year the fellows from the three countries meet twice for a retreat. The program has been running since 2010 with its pilot in Egypt and has been growing internationally since then. After a competitive recruitment effort, fellows are selected in each country and placed for one year in a local organization to benefit their local community. Each fellow receive trainings provided by the local Lazord representative as well as mentorship to help him/her realize his/her full potential as a responsible leader.

Being a host organization for a Lazord fellow means not only taking an active role in the professionalization of a young graduate but also adding an active and engaged member to your team. The program lasts a year during which your organization can host a Lazord fellow as an integral member to your team. The local Lazord partner will provide your organization with networking opportunities.

Deadline and program timeline: 

• May 17th: Call for host organizations opens
• June 14th: Deadline for host organizations
• June 15th: Call for fellows opens
• July 15th: Deadline for fellows
• July 30th: Interviews begin
• August 10th: Fellows receive acceptance/rejection email
• August 30th: Matchmaking process between fellows and host organizations start
• September 17th to 21st: Annual retreat for fellows
• October 1st: Placement starts
